As part of its ongoing community safety initiative, Sabbeth Law is offering reimbursement for safe rides home on July 4th through the Sober Holiday Rides program.

If you choose a taxi or rideshare instead of driving after drinking, we will reimburse your one-way ride up to $50, including 10% tip.

Choosing a ride instead of driving after drinking helps protect you and everyone else on the road.

How It Works

  1.  If you’ve been drinking, don’t drive — take a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or similar rideshare home instead.
  2. Submit your receipt to our dedicated form between July 5-12th, 2026
  3. Get reimbursed up to $50 (including 10% tip) via PayPal.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for reimbursement:

  • Rider must be 21 years or older
  • Ride must take place in Vermont or New Hampshire
  • Ride must occur on July 4
  • One-way ride only
  • Receipt must clearly show date, time, and amount
  • Submission must be made within 7 days (by July 12th, 2026)

Reimbursement is limited to $50 per ride, including 10% tip.

Why We Offer This Program

July 4th is consistently one of the highest-risk holidays for impaired driving nationwide. As attorneys who have represented victims of serious crashes, we have seen how quickly preventable decisions can change lives.

Sober Holiday Rides exists to remove one barrier: cost.

If covering the price of a ride home helps someone make a safer choice, it’s worth it.

Submit Your Ride

If you took a taxi or rideshare home on July 4, you can request reimbursement by completing the form on this page.
